Rapper Okyeame Kwame has cited the need for unity amongst African nations as his reason for making the album “Africa Connect”.
This came via an interview on UTV news last Wednesday, where the artiste expressed his beliefs on music, as having the power to bring people together. Okyeame Kwame had earlier on stated that he believed musicians had more power than politicians due to the power of music.
Project for the 16 track album which features 16 renowned African musicians from all over Africa started around September last year and has been successfully completed, and is yet to be released.
Despite the later release, the Rap Doctor seems to be taking bigger strides on continent, with his new role as the brand ambassador for GT Bank. He was unveiled at a colourful event last Wednesday at the Osu branch of the bank to help promote the bank’s new innovation; GTCrea8, a Student Saving Account.
